This Lord Shiva did in the Shravan month. His body temperature rose considerably. Then Lord Shiva donned the moon on his own head, which decreased its warmth, and the pantheon of the Hindu gods began giving Gangajal to Shiva.

It is also said that Lord Indra wanted the temperature of Lord Shiva to drop, and hence he poured excessively. That soothed him. That eased him down. Since that time, Lord Shiva has honoured the month of Sawan. Water is thrown over Lord Shiva during the month of Sawan, especially on Mondays. The Other Tale Of Solah Somvar

Once a moneylender and his wife resided there, they were both quite pious and committed in their lives. They didn’t have a child’s happiness and asked the Lord to bless them. Lord Shiva had their prayers appeased, and a newborn boy blessed them. Sadly, the kid was only supposed to survive for 12 years, and his dad knew this.

The moneylender instructed his son to live a very humble and dedicated life. He was moved to Kashi with his uncle to complete his academic career in the year he turned 12. They saw a ceremony of marriage. The bride was a businessman’s daughter, but the bride was blind in one eye. After the bride’s family discovered it, they asked the son of the money lender to marry it.

After the bride was married, the two proceeded to Kashi, and as planned, the son completed his education. His fate was nigh, though, and he came one day to meet his end. The family of the moneylender had prayed to Lord Shiva unmeasurably. The Lord was impressed by their dedication and, thus, as a favour, longevity granted their son. The boy and his wife went home happily and lived with great happiness with their family.
